[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The Private Investors Council of Benin (CIPB) supports the government of the Republic of Benin in the fight against the coronavirus. Through a contribution that reached our editorial office, its president, Roland Riboux, expressed all the good that this group thinks of the measures recommended by Benin to put an end to this pandemic.

\n“The CIPB welcomes, like the entire private sector, the decision of the government of President Patrice Talon to have rejected the solution of generalized containment as a means of combating the Covid-19 pandemic”. It is in these terms that the president of the CIPB informed on the satisfaction of his peers and himself with regard to the government’s decision to prefer the systematic wearing of masks and other precautionary measures to total confinement. In the document that reached our editorial office, Roland Riboux provided information on the negative impacts of total confinement on the economy of the countries that have adopted it. Similarly, the CIPB informs that several other nations, and not the least, have been able to contain and limit the spread of Covid-19 by resorting to the precautionary measures in force in Benin.
\nThe example of Korea and Taiwan
\nAccording to the CIPB, Benin is in a situation similar to that of the second phase which is experienced in Korea and Taiwan, “that is to say a controlled infection, but risks for nationals\/residents who return\u201d. Thus, the CIPB agrees on the fact that it is imperative to quarantine, systematically, all people who return to Benin, from any country whatsoever. Then, according to the president of the CIPB, Benin can \u201cimitate Sweden\u201d and \u201cfocus on people at risk\u201d. As proof of this, the case of France where the average age of deceased carriers of Covid-19 is 83 years old. Of these, more than 80% were obese (17% in the general population). In Italy, deaths linked to Covid-19 (average age of 79.5 years) are distributed as follows: 25.1% carriers of one comorbidity, 25.6% carriers of two comorbidities; 48.5% carriers of 3 comorbidities; 0.8% not carrying a disease. For the rest, the emphasis must be on wearing the mandatory mask. Once again, we must salute the action of the government, which has imposed the wearing of a mask in the 12 municipalities of the \u201csanitary cord\u201d. Insofar as the traffic of goods continues, it should also be imposed on the municipalities along the Interstate route at the very least. There should also be strong propaganda on the interest of everyone wearing a mask to evolve in a safe environment. Remember that person-to-person transmission is nine times more frequent than contamination by touching an object or surface. However, we are talking more about washing hands than wearing a mask.

\nFinally, the CIPB informs that it is necessary that all those who work with fabric in Benin, whether they are tailors, dressmakers, seamstresses, stylists, pattern makers, embroiderers or manufacturers “focus on the manufacture of fabric masks to AFNOR standards and , that part of the sums allocated by the State to the fight against the pandemic be used to subsidize these masks; otherwise our populations will turn to cheap, inferior, non-effective masks, simply to evade police checks\u201d.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
